Here are some potentials theories as to the significance of the time shown on the iPhone in all the ads: 9:42.

Pie rounded: π³ or 3.14159265 + 3.14159265 + 3.14159265
Reference to the Hickhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy? The Answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything
Googling it strangely returns an Apple security update doc; which makes no reference to 9:42 or the iPhone (even in the source).
