There’s a nice, new preference in iTunes 9 that allows you to browse the iTunes Store with the full window, hiding the sidebar (located in Preferences > Store).

The resulting UI experience is actually very cool. To show the sidebar again, simply click the “x” in the upper-left.
Does anyone know if this feature is available in the Windows version of iTunes 9?
Yes, it is.

Didn’t notice that. Thanks for the tip.

It is available, but is of little use in the store because the extra screen area is not used to resize (wider) the very short columns. As far as I can tell, it isn’t used for anything useful at all. Therefore song information is still truncated to a level that makes selecting one item from a list of similar-named items almost impossible.
This issue alone has caused me to rapidly upgrade back to version 8!!
