Slide Deck: The Church and The Internet
I gave a talk at Northwest University today about what we’re doing at the church to embrace the internet and new media technology. Here’s the slide deck:
It went well! I was surprisingly calm, and was able to get through the entirety of my presentation with time for questions at the end. Of course, it helped that the subject matter was something I am passionate about and could ramble on about for hours.

As the course professor – I can attest to the fact that Sean was a STAR!!! Thanks again!

I think that the church and internet have a common way of future development. There is nothing wrong with using the achievements of technology and by using it I mean really new techniques of expression. Here we have a medium that gives us the most quick and complete source of information in the history of mankind. Church should use that a lot.

From the slides this looks like some really interesting information. Any chance of a copy of the recording or maybe adding some voice overs to the slides and making a podcast. I just think this would be really interesting to us lesser web designers making sites for small churches.
Thanks

I´ve never been good at talking in front of people, but maybe that´s because I always have to talk about boring stuff. If I did like you and talked about something I´m passionated about maybe it would work out better. Just have to find that passion then… :)

This is my first visit to your blog and I like the clean look and no nonsense approach. Looks like you are a great orator as well :) Look forward to more interesting posts from you.

Internet could be so powerful tool for Church if only some people would show good will and use it. This is a huge mine of information and it is not so difficult to show the world the “bright” side of Church, because now only this dark side appears on worldwide media.

Basically, things become so easy if you’re familiar of what you’re doing. Otherwise, you’ll end up to finish nothing if you don’t know how to start doing something.
