My day to day carrying, on my person, consists of a wallet, a seperate thing that holds necessary passes to use public transport, a phone and keys. Maybe one of the iPods if I’m not taking a bag.

Of course everything else (the MacBook Pro, the iPod nano or shuffle, the bus powered drive, small collection of cables, the camera and assorted lenses, cards and card readers) gets dumped in either the laptop or camera bag.

No doubt people in that Flickr pool are either a) always wearing cargo pants/shorts, b) in need of belts to hold their pants up with all that extra weight, or c) wearing Level 8 Magic Pants that can carry up to 6 gadgets, 3 notebooks, 4 pens and 2 cameras.

I, like you, rock the single phone (iPhone), a wallet (very slim), and keys (and I don’t own a car). And since I have an iPhone, I started carrying around the headphones just in case.

I dropped in my own submission to the flickr bandwagon here

After reading what’s in your bag I can now see that it’s true – you really are a geek.

In my backpack I tote around my PowerBook, my jump-drive, Bible and a few commentaries and a Levenger Circa Notebook.

Oh yeah, Shawn. I forgot to mention my 4GB, USB flash drive and Signature Series NKJV Bible. Thanks for the reminder.

Partial explanation from the group’s description:

“If you don’t have pockets and say, are a lady, then your purse may serve as your pockets.”

(Also, I don’t really think of “carrying” things in my pockets. I think of “carrying” my bag. I’m assuming others have made the same mistake.)

(I think people just like to show off what they own. They don’t really carry around all that stuff at “the basic level”.)

I thought I kept a lot of stuff in my pockets. Cellphone, Canon PowerShot SD750, wallet, keys, and my dual-purpose Gideons KJV Bible which serves as spiritual nourishment and offsets my wallet to prevent my spine from getting twisted.

@ Sean: Don’t even tell me you have a Thomas Nelson Calfskin NKJV. Is it burgundy? Just like the one I have in my backpack I suppose.

@Shawn: You know it. But mine’s tan. Guaranteed for life, baby!

@ Sean: I love the look on people’s face when I fold the cover in half and then let it go as it nicely lays back down onto the pages. Their bonded leather doesn’t do that. No sir.
