Feb 16th, 2006 Un-minimize Hot-key?

We all know that if you want to minimize a window in OS X, all you need to do is hit cmd+m, right? But what if you want to un-minimize a window? Is there no hot-key, hack, or software tool that enables this?

Yeah dude, i feel your pain with this. What i’ve been using is Witch which allows you to access minimized windows. When you select them they float up just like if you clicked on them…. swwweeeetttt

Hmm.

  • It’s free
  • It’s not an app, it’s a PreferencePane
  • It’s Mac-like and looks good

Looks like a winner, Rob. Thanks!

Yes, I’ve been using a Witch also. The only thing that was weird – One day, having I forgotten that I had installed it, I opened up my System Preferences only to behold an icon labeled “Witch”, which thoroughly freaked me out. For a brief moment I thought that I had been infected by some demonic virus that was going to turn my Mac into a churning cauldron of trouble. Then my senses returned, and I remembered that Macs don’t get viruses, and that I had installed Witch, and that the Witch was my friend. Now the Witch and I get along very well, although I still get a bit of a creepy feeling when I open up my System Preferences.
