Jeremy Cowart’s new site is live and … wow. I’ve lost my breath, this thing is so incredible. If the site itself doesn’t rock you, his shots will – and if his shots don’t, you must be dead.

Got my iPhone!
Well, folks, I got my iPhone (courtesy of my generous and empathetic parents)! I’ll [hopefully] have a more detailed review later, but I can’t help but post a few initial thoughts. Keep in mind I’ve already had a month to play with friends’ iPhones.
- The AT&T sales rep said of the 490+ iPhones they’ve sold, only three had been returned – two for replacements, one because the owner couldn’t leave Verizon without breaking his contract.
- My absolute favorite feature so far is the iPod muting when a call comes in.
- If it wasn’t already clear to me, now I absolutely understand how 1.0 this software is – there’s no chance of listening to the iPod while surfing MobileSafari until a software update comes.

I just emailed The Wife to see if she’d be willing to live in Iraq if I were to take that $200k/year job. She replied:
I definitely get my gun if we do this!!! And I want a semi-automatic.
So cool.

I won’t reiterate my respect for Shaun Inman, suffice to say that this isn’t intended as a critique so much as an observation.
Mint stays fresh longer than underwear – no need for a daily weekly update. I’m sort of sick of seeing the “Updates Available” badge in the upper-left corner of my Mint install.

Cabel Sasser thinks the rumored, new iMac keyboard is real. I tend to agree.

Seriously, how many pockets do these people have? I can’t believe how many people actually carry around moleskin notebooks and pens.
My photo would show no more than my phone, keys and wallet – everything else (and I mean everything) I carry in my bag, including, but not limited to:
- PowerBook G4
- iPod nano
- Nintendo DS
- Canon PowerShot SD450
- iPod shuffle
- External (bus-powered) 200GB hard drive
- Memory card reader
- Miscellaneous cables galore

Interesting that the iPhone is not listed on AT&T Wireless’s exclusive phones page.
Also, something I’ve noticed is how weak AT&T Wireless’s brand is compared to Cingular’s. AT&T should have stuck with the Cingular brand, or fully dropped it in favor of the (also strong) AT&T brand. For a clear example, check out the difference between the AT&T Wireless homepage versus the AT&T homepage.
Thank you. The end.

I just spent at least 20 minutes at Keegan’s new video site. Among my faves:
- White Stripes Dance – Makes me glad/sad I don’t live alone.
- SarahWorld™ – wait for the end.
- Plant Whisperer – where we learn that Keegan snores.
Yes. Time well spent, I think.

Shawn Blanc is maintaining a semi-comprehensive link list of iPhone tips and tutorials. So while he’s busy building a library of helpful links, I’m focusing on the bad. Great.

What, exactly, does “Références” mean? It sure looks like they’re taking credit for The City Church site, doesn’t it? (See the bottom left icon.) Talk about lost in translation.

The Official Shotgun Rules. Must-have rule guide for calling “shotgun” for the front passenger seat position. Includes the controversial Balk rule:
This rule is applied when you have called Shotgun and are waiting for the doors to be unlocked. If you lift the handle while the doors are being unlocked and therefore cause the Shotgun door to remain locked, then you are “voided” for that ride. At this time Shotgun is available for all of the other passengers to call.
Don’t forget to download and print the pocket reference guide.
