Not sure how they do it, but the guys responsible for the Tennessee websites consistently put out the goods. When you can make Verdana look good (the H4’s), you deserve an award. ✓

The Mysterious “Save For Web” Color Shift:

It isn’t a Mac/PC thing, it isn’t a monitor thing, it isn’t because the color profile is somehow set “wrong”. Fellow designers: Somewhere between PSD and JPG, Photoshop is draining our colors of their life, like some horrible, RGB-stealing vampire.

Caspian is a rock band from Beverly, Massachusetts, a seaside town 20 minutes north of Boston. Nobody sings. Most of the time we play very loud. Other times, very soft. We always try to play with heart. So far we have recorded 2 albums. We want to play live as much as possible.

If you like Explosions, you’ll love these guys. My previous computer was named Caspian, and he’s one of my favorite characters from the Narnia novels. ✓

Religious teaching straight to your iPod.

On a similar note: has anyone found a viable way to track the total (estimated) number of subscribers to a podcast? I don’t believe the numbers I’ve gotten from Mint and/or Feedburner. ✓

Garrett Dimon on copying concepts versus stealing designs:

[…] but I strongly believe it makes sense for us, as interface creators, to be happy when we start to see appropriate reuse of our ideas.

And amen. ✓
