Like dotted underlines?

The 1px dotted bottom border is a popular alternative to the standard underline for link styling. However, it poses two problems:

  1. Intenet Explorer doesn't supported "dotted," and displays "dashed" instead — frankly, this is ugly.
  2. Images contained in links will also get the dotted (or dashed) border, and this is often not desireable.
